MyWork Study
Work-Study programs, while federally funded, are campus-based programs offering employment on or near campus and each school determines the jobs that are offered. If you have been awarded Work Study, this does not ensure you a job or pay check. Many schools will try to match students with jobs that relate to their major or help the community; others may require you to apply for the jobs on a first-come-first-serve basis and require an application and/or interview process.
At minimum, the school will pay you the federal minimum wage, and it may be higher depending on the nature of the work. Regardless of your wage, you cannot earn more than what you have been awarded in total wages for the year. You may have the option to receive a check or have wages posted to your school account. Visit the schools web site or contact the Office of Financial Aid for school specific Work Study details.
